On 24 January 2024, a seminar was held at the Institute of Flow Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk. The main organizer of the meeting was the Pomeranian Welding Section of the Association of Polish Engineers and Engineers (SIMP), and the Institute of Flow Machines PAS supported this event as a co-organiser.

The seminar was attended by representatives of Pomeranian companies and scientific units who want to actively participate in the design and construction process of the nuclear power plant to be built in our voivodship. Representatives of:

  • Pomorskie Welding Section SIMP,
  • branch of the Technical Supervision Office in Gdańsk,
  • University of Technology in Ostrava,
  • Institute of Flow Machine PAS in Gdańsk,
  • Department of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding PG.

The discussion dominated the view that further cooperation between public and private sector entities was necessary and that joint action was needed to ensure that Pomeranian engineering staff were well prepared for the planned construction of the nuclear power plant in the coming years.
