On 21 November 2023 students of the Millennium Polish State Primary School in Dzierzgon, as part of the project “EcoWorking Plant – Green Corners”, visited the Institute of Flow Machine PAS in Gdańsk. During the visit, they listened to a lecture by Prof. Dariusz Cardassia on the activities of the institute, as well as visited selected laboratories, including a thermal biomass conversion laboratory, a microturbin laboratory and a rapid prototyping laboratory – a 3D printout. In the laboratories visited, students learned about various types of biomass, thermal processes and the principle of steam turbine operation. They also had the opportunity to talk to the employees of IMP PAS, who told them about their scientific work. The students showed great interest in these scientific issues and asked many interesting questions.
