Information Security Unit

The IT Security Department serves as ancillary to scientific establishments and takes care of the proper work of IT equipment at the Institute of Flow Machines.

Its tasks include in particular:

  1. Establishing the conditions for the location of the scientific and research posts of the Institute's laboratories, supervising their execution and assembly and putting them into service.
  2. Determination of conditions and supervision during the operation of research posts. Supervision of repairs and periodic reviews of research posts.
  3. Supervision in the execution and assembly of components of measurement systems at research and research stations of the IMP PAN laboratory.
  4. Conducting technical and research work as part of new projects obtained by the Institute.
  5. Application for funds to purchase new apparatus or maintain a computer network at the Institute.
  6. Administration of Windows and Linux networks (establishing user accounts, mail accounts, changing passwords, granting permissions).
  7. Service of IT equipment (installation of operating systems and utility programs).
