Responsibilities:
The Deputy Director for Scientific Issues is responsible for managing the research divisions and their activities, which include:

  1. Planning the development of the scientific disciplines pursued at the Institute as part of his statutory duties and in connection with ongoing research projects.
  2. Organising the Institute’s scientific activities, including training courses, seminars, scientific conferences and other forms of research activity.
  3. Organising and supporting the career development of scientific staff through the attainment of scientific degrees and titles.
  4. Organising scientific collaboration with domestic and international institutions.
  5. Organising collaboration with industry, as well as educational and implementation activities, and promoting the Institute’s achievements.
  6. Supervising the Institute’s publishing activities.
  7. Participating in the work of the Scientific Board and the Institute’s Council.
