The location of this year's edition of PKH HYDROFORUM has been dictated by many aspects – cultural and scientific traditions of Kraków, excellent logistics, close proximity to a number of hydroelectric objects, achievements in the field of the recovery of hydraulic energy dispersed previously in water supply networks. Traditionally, the event will provide a platform for exchanging information, experience and opinions on various water energy topics. We will pay attention to its strategic role in the country's energy and water management system, development plans, legal and environmental aspects, numerous technical and scientific issues. HYDROFORUM is annually the largest conference event in the field of hydroenergy in our country and is one of the most significant events of this kind in our part of Europe. These events are organised jointly by the Water Power Plant Society, the Institute of Flow Machinery PAS and the Society for the Development of Small Water Power Plant. This group of permanent co-organisers usually works with a local organizer, who, where possible, is a higher education institution or other research institution. This year the local co-organizer is the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology. The conference HYDROFORUM 2024 will be held on 16-17 October at the four-star Premier Kraków Hotel in the district of Prądnik. An important part of the whole event will be a study visit to the hydraulic power recovery facilities of the Waterworks of the City of Krakow, as well as in Zapor and the Świnna Poręba Water Power Plant. This visit was planned for 18 October.
