The Influence of Air Content on the Simulation of Transient Phenomena in a Pipeline [in German]
OLIVER FUZY
Abstract
The air contained in water can considerably influence the pressure oscillations in a pipeline. A simulation method has been proposed in order to investigate these phenomeną. The air content has been incorporated into the calculation of flow velocity. Some diffculties arise when absorption is taken into account and desorption rates. The influence of absorption and desorption rates has been illustrated by various examples.
