Studies of Small Amplitude lonization Waves in an Axially Magnetized Plasma of the Helium Discharge

Abstract
The experimental studies of the influence of an axial magnetic field on the propagation parameters of ionization wave are described.
Ionization wave are described. The presented results were obtained in a helium discharge. They are compared with the predictions of the simple hydrodynamic theory as developed first by Pekarek and Krejći [12, 13]. This theory was extended here to take into account the influence of an axial magnetic field.
