MHD Generators Fed with Noble Gases-Status Report [in German]

Abstract

The world status of research on MHD generators fed with noble gases is critically surveyed. Both the theoretical and experimental investigations of instabilities occurring in generators of this type have been taken into consideration. Moreover, the following possibilities of reducing or avoiding disadvantageous effects od instabilities are considered:

 

  1. complete ironizationn of seed,
  2. adding of molecular component (N2 or CO).
