In days 25-26 March 2026 KEZO Research Centre IMP PANtook part in a study visit to Rotterdam (Netherlands) as an interest in the project: "Building synergies in B+I funds for greater efficiency and impact of Smart Specialisation Strategies", acronym: SYNERGY) implemented under the INTERREG Europe programme, the partner of which is Mazowieckie Province.
At the invitation of the Province in the visit as an expert took part Mr. Inż. Sebastian Taurusto present KEZO as a good practice in pooling R & D+I funds.
The visit took place on the site of the former campus-based shipyard Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM). This place has become a modern centre of innovation, education and sustainable production, and is reflected in the floating pavilion Drijvend Paviljoen symbolising the innovative, climate-resistant nature of architecture.
The visit also presented inspiring projects:
Project “Green Village” - a field laboratory for sustainable innovation. "Open Laboratory" on the campus of the Technical University of Delft, where solutions are tested for sustainable development at district, street and building level where people live, work and learn.
‘Unmanned Valley’ - a field laboratory for sensors technologies and applications. The Unmanned Valley is an initiative of the Technical University of Delft and the Municipality of Katowice, and its implementation was created thanks to the support of the Dutch Central Real Estate Agency, the Province of Zuid-Holland, the Ministry of Economy and Climate Change and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Zero Emission Corridor (ZEC) project - the project focuses on the development of a flexible and sustainable energy system for the logistics sector aimed at reducing network overload and speeding up the transition to carbon-free heavy transport.
