The cooperation is of a framework nature and is an invitation to a permanent practical partnership: from common definition of research topics to project preparation and funding, to the organisation of seminars, workshops and scientific events. An important element of the agreement is the educational dimension – creating the conditions for developing the competences of students and young staff and building an environment conducive to the transfer of knowledge and experience between institutions.
The Naval Academy carries out teaching and scientific activities related to defence and security, including maritime security of the state, as well as developing competences and expert facilities for the marine environment. The combination of the potential of the military university and the Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences is intended to strengthen the capabilities of both parties in planning and conducting ambitious R & D projects and in effectively translating the results of these works into real applications. The agreement creates a permanent platform for cooperation, which will make it easier to combine scientific and engineering competences with the needs of the marine environment and widely understood state security.
