On 1 July 2014, a crew meeting took place at the Institute of Flow Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk with the participation of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Professor M. Kleiber and invited guests.
During this meeting, the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences thanked the outgoing Director,
Prof. J. Mikielewicz for his many years of cooperation and managing the Institute by 4 terms and presented the nomination to the new Director Prof. J. Kiciński.
Professor J. Kiciński presented the concept of functioning of the Institute for the next term and presented members of the new Directorate and new managers of Scientific Centres and Plants.
The new Director appointed Professor P. Doerffer as Deputy Director of Science.
