In 2018, the Minister of Science and Higher Education awarded the team of employees of IMP PAS in the composition of: prof. dr hab. inż. Piotr Doerffer, dr hab. inż. Paweł Flaszyński, dr hab. inż. Ryszard Swaba a prize for outstanding scientific and scientific achievements in the research category for economic development. The award was awarded for work carried out under aeronautics. The subject matter of the research concerns flow control methods (spin generators) and their use in the perisonic speed range. The phenomena associated with these speeds are an important technical problem in the flow of components such as wings, compressor blades or turbines, or helicopter rotor blades.
