HYDROGIN
Modular installation of reversible fixed-oxide cells intended to be integrated into the industrial power plant in order to improve the flexibility of its operation and increase the use of renewable energy sources in the electricity sector
Project No. POIR.01.01-00-0335/19
The aim of the project is to build a research installation, the heart of which is a stack of fixed-oxide cells operating cyclically in the function of vapour electrolysis and fuel cell. The installation will be built on the industrial site and will cooperate with the existing installation of the outlet steam. The test installation is intended to store electricity in the form of hydrogen. Hydrogen can also be used as an energy carrier.
The project is implemented as a consortium composed of:
· M. Faraday Research and Development Centre (Orlen Group), Gdansk
· Robert Szewalski Institute of Flow Machine PAS, Gdańsk
Project value: 7 398 754,09 PLN
Grant amount: PLN 5,687,621,77
Period of implementation: 1 April 2020– 30 June 2023
Project co-financed between 2020 and 2023 by the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Intelligent Development 2014-2020, Priority I: Support for R & D by enterprises, Action 1.1 Business R & D projects, Sub-measure 1.1.1 Industrial research and development by companies.
