We are pleased to inform that, as part of the evaluation of the quality of scientific activity for the years 2017-2021, on the basis of the decision of the Minister of Education and Science, the Institute of Flow Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk obtained the category A+ in the discipline of mechanical engineering. The evaluation was carried out by the Scientific Evaluation Commission and included three criteria: scientific level, financial effects of research and development and the impact of scientific activities on society and the economy. Category A+ was awarded for the period 2022 to 2025 and will continue to apply until the completion of the next evaluation of scientific activities.
The award of the highest scientific category confirms the very high level of research and development carried out in IMP PAS and the involvement of employees in solving contemporary socio-economic problems. The A+ category obtained in mechanical engineering confirms the position of the Institute in the group of leading Polish Academy of Sciences Institutes in the country and the international importance of scientific achievements.
