The value of water energy among other energy technologies is not only the carbon-free production of "green" electricity, but also the significant support for the regulation of the electricity system and the wider water management. We predict that these matters, and in particular the technical measures provided by hydroenergy to maintain network security, will be among the leading themes of this year's Polish Hydroenergy Conference HYDROFORUM. The meeting will take place on 7-8 October at the Hotel “Perła Południa” in Roztoka Valley, a mountain creek that goes to Poprad in Rytra – a well-known holiday resort in Beskid Sądecki. On 9 October we plan a study trip to the Rożnów Water Power Plant and a cruise to Zalewa Rożnowski, over which the Szczytowo-Pompowa Rożnów II Power Plant should be established in several years. As in previous years, the organizers are the Water Power Plant Society (TEW), the Institute of Flow Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMP PAN) and the Society for the Development of Small Water Power Plant (TRMEW).
