The ComBoNDT project focuses on new light materials (CFRP) in aviation applications. The certification of adhesive connections is an important step towards the full integration of elements made from CFRP materials, as gluing is the optimal way to combine them.

The current difficulties in assessing the quality of non-destructive (NDT) connections limit the use of glue connections in aviation. The objective of the ComBoNDT project is to overcome these limitations and further develop extended NDT methods suitable for inspection of combined surfaces and adhesive connections.
