On 21 October 2024, the official signing of funding agreements for projects, in which we are the leader, took place at our Institute as part of the Interreg South Baltic 2021-2027 programme:                 

  • DecarbonDHS – “Decarbonization of district heating systems”
  • BALTWRECK – “Preventing massive marine waters chemical pollution from the leaking wrecks and munition/ weapon dumps in the South Baltic”

These will be carried out in an international partnership with entities from Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Lithuania. The manager of both projects is Prof. Adam Cenian.

The meeting was attended by the Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Minister Konrad Wojnarowski (who signed the agreements on behalf of the MFRP), and the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Minister Jacek Karnowski.

We could also host Prof. Mirosława Ostrowska, Vice-President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Pomeranian local government officials: Deputy Voivode Emil Rojek, Adam Gawrylik, Board Member of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and Adam Mikołajczyk, Director of the Department of Regional and Spatial Development.
