As confirmation of the Honorary Member award the PTMTS General Secretary Professor Witold Elsner handed Professor Wieslaw Ostachowicz the diploma and a membership card (No. 193) during the IMP PAN Scientific Board meeting on October 29, 2015.
In nearly 60 years of PTMTS activity Honorary Membership was awarded to 58 people (http://www.ptmts.org.pl/honorowi.htm).
Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics is a nationwide association of scientists in the field of mechanics. The Society has been operating continuously since 1958, acting as centre of integration and information for its members employed at universities, research institutes and R & D centres in Poland.
